What we built in
- Live video + NIN verification so photos match a real person. How verification works.
- Report and Block on profiles, messages, and rooms.
- Date-safety plans — optional check-ins that notify your trusted contacts if you do not confirm you are okay. Christian Match Nigeria does not monitor dates or call emergency services.
- Moderated rooms and community guidelines for faith-centered conduct.
On the app
- Take your time before sharing personal details, your workplace, or your home address.
- Keep conversations on Christian Match Nigeria until you are comfortable.
- Watch for red flags: requests for money, gift cards, crypto, “travel help,” refusal to video chat, or pressure to move off the app fast.
- Prefer verified members. Unverified profiles are still allowed but rank lower in Discover.
- Never send money, airtime, or bank details to someone you have not met in person and fully trust.
Before meeting in person
- Meet in a public place for the first few times.
- Tell a friend or family member where you are going and when you expect to return. Use a trusted contact in the app if you want a timed check-in.
- Arrange your own transport.
- Do a live video call first when you can.
- Stay sober and keep your phone charged.
Faith-centered boundaries
Christian Match Nigeria is built for intentional courtship. Set clear boundaries aligned with your values. It is okay to decline meetings, calls, or conversations that do not feel right — physically, emotionally, or spiritually.
If something goes wrong
- Block the user and report their profile or messages in the app.

- If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. We do not dispatch police, medical, or emergency response.
